Sen Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large and inclusive secondary school in Bury that is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning needs.

• September 2026 start.
• £1860 - 2000 per month, dependent on experience and qualifications.

• Paid weekly, every Friday via PAYE.
• CPD training available

This rewarding role involves working closely with students who may have a range of needs including Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), cognitive difficulties, and other special educational needs (SEN). You will play a vital part in their day-to-day school life, promoting positive engagement and supporting their academic, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
• Support students in developing their confidence, communication skills, and independence.
• Assist with implementing the strategies outlined in students' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), in collaboration with the SENCO and class teachers.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all learners.
• Support pupils during break/lunch times and other school routines to encourage inclusion and positive social interactions.
• Contribute to record keeping and progress tracking for students you work with.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and activities to support differentiated learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
