SEN Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent (depending on performance and school needs)

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? We’re looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bournemouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who thrives on making a positive impact in the classroom.

Your Role:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs

• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons

• Help manage behaviour in a calm and consistent way, promoting positive outcomes

• Support pupils’ emotional and social development throughout the school day

• Assist with classroom resources, preparation, and general administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting

• A good understanding of individual learning plans and differentiated support

• Excellent communication, patience, and empathy

• A flexible and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for helping children succeed

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
