We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Bodmin and the surrounding areas. We have both temporary and full-time positions available, with varying, flexible hours.  As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be required to provide support to students who require additional assistance. It is important that you are able to make learning as engaging and enjoyable as possible for students.

Job Duties:

  • Providing 1:1 interventions to students, offering support in various subjects such as literacy, numeracy, reading and writing.
  • Assisting students with special educational needs (SEN) and providing behavioural support when necessary.
  • Ensuring students receive the best education possible by providing excellent support.  
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans.
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
  • Creating engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance students' educational experience.
  • Supporting students with social and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies and ensuring the well-being and safety of students at all times.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification.

Experience:

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural support techniques.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to effectively support students in their reading and writing development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
