SEN Teaching Assistant – Blackpool

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking primary school in Blackpool, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their brand-new SEN Hub.
The Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1, supporting pupils with identified special educational needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN
- Assisting the class teacher and SENCO in delivering individual learning plans
- Supporting children with communication, social, and emotional development
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with personal care needs where required
You will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

This Blackpool-based primary school is investing in a newly developed SEN Hub, designed to provide specialist support for children who require additional provision.

Requirements:
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Be comfortable assisting with personal care
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Relevant experience may include work in schools, care settings, nurseries, or specialist provisions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
