Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to make a real difference in a welcoming primary school in Blackpool!

The Role:

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a primary school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children across Key Stage 2. This is a full-time position starting immediately and is expected to continue throughout the academic year, with the potential to become a long-term or permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN (including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH)

• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans

• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment

• Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary or KS2 setting

• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to learning support

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable but not essential

• Available to start ASAP and committed to ongoing support
