SEN Teaching Assistant

**Teaching Assistant Required**

We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEN school in the Basingstoke area. The school have been rated Outstanding in their two most recent Ofsted reports, and they are looking for staff to deliver high levels of support to their pupils, on a 1:1 basis. 

The schools' focus is providing learning and emotional support to pupils with varied moderate and complex learning needs. 

Experience working with adults or children with additional needs is essential, as you will be a vital part of the team. Although previous classroom experience is desirable, candidates with experience in support work or social care will also be able to excel in this role. 

You will be responsible for supporting pupils in their classrooms and assisting with implementing individual healthcare plans. Class sizes consist of roughly 8 pupils, with a class teacher and 2 to 3 support staff. Being able to work in a variety of situations and dealing with varied behaviour is paramount to being an effective support to the staff and pupils. 

Working hours are 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday, and this role is to start as soon as possible.
