Location: Barnet

Hours: 08:30-15.30

Availability: Mon-Fri

Salary: £85-£100 Day Rate

Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging role as an SEN teaching assistant in mainstream Primary schools?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are working with a well-established and highly regarded primary SEN schools in the Barnet area.

The schools provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment, where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to provide learning support and pastoral care to the students.

You will assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, monitor and assess student progress, and help with behaviour management and safeguarding. You can participate in extracurricular activities and school trips.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A passion for working with SEN students and a commitment to their wellbeing and development

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant, learning support assistant, or learning mentor in a SEN setting

• A relevant qualification or experience in SEN, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent

• A good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the National Curriculum

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team

• A flexible and adaptable approach, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
