Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools near Axminster. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant open to 1:1 SEN support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. The proposed hours are 19.5 hours a week within school term time, but for the right person, more hours can be made available to best suit you.

Whether you have many years of experience, a graduate exploring teaching, or have previous childcare experience – we would love to hear from you.

The Responsibilities of Your Role:

  • Support young pupils in their learning and development
  • Assist the Teacher to deliver engaging lessons
  • Provide one-to-one SEN support
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Experience working with children (school, nursery, or voluntary)
  • Knowledge and understanding of MLD, SEMH and ADHD
  • A proactive, caring attitude and enthusiasm for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
