Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic SEN teacher for a specialist school in the Blackley area. The position will be working predominately with 10-16 year old pupils who have a variety of Special Education Needs ranging from physical, complex medical and communication needs. Ideally you will have a flexible nature and be prepared to cover across all years where needed. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them access the curriculum fully. The school believes in creating a happy, safe and stimulating, environment valuing each child as an individual.
An ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- A PGCE or teaching qualification with QTS status
- School based SEN experience
- Makaton experience or BSL (to any level)
- Moving and handling / Team- Teach qualification (desired)
- An empathetic and caring personality
