The School

• As well as encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement, you will be teaching multiple subjects at GCSE level to pupils on the Autistic Spectrum with planning provided.
• All lessons will need to be inclusive and engaging, to ensure all pupils actively take part in lessons.
• The school has a strong focus on the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes, which parents and carers are heavily involved in.
• Each child has an individual learning plan tailored to their needs and requirements; this is delivered in class sizes of approx. 6-8 pupils by one teacher as well as additional support staff.
• Previous trips out have included: Local Museums, Local Farms and activity centres

The Successful Applicant:

• Must be a qualified teacher with experience of teaching KS3 and KS4. 
• Should either have experience of working with students with SEMH or ASD, supporting communication difficulties and complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN
