The School

• As well as encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement, you will be teaching multiple subjects to pupils on the Autistic Spectrum
• All lessons will need to be inclusive and engaging, to ensure all pupils actively take part in lessons
• The school has a strong focus on the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes, which parents and carers are heavily involved in.
• Each child has an individual learning plan tailored to their needs and requirements; this is delivered in class sizes of approx. 6-8 pupils by one teacher as well as additional support staff.
• Previous trips out have included: Local Museums, Local Farms and activity centres

The Successful Applicant:

• Must be a qualified teacher with experience of teaching KS3 and KS4
• Should either have experience of working with students with SEMH or ASC, supporting communication difficulties and complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN
