Special Needs Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an outstanding SEN school who is recruiting for an experienced Special Needs Teacher who is available to start in September on a full time basis. This will be a long-term position that could lead to a permanent position within the school.

 You will be responsible for 8 students with various SEN needs who will all have their own EHCPs and will be working at different levels. You will be required to teach all subjects as they will be working off the primary curriculum. Throughout the day you will have 2 Teaching Assistants who will be in the classroom with you, to help you set up lessons, support the students and assist with toileting and personal care. The ideal Special Needs Teacher for this role must have a minimum of 1 years' experience and be able to plan and adapt their lessons.

SEN School

This SEN School is located in Ilford and caters for students aged between 4-16 years with Special Educational Needs. They currently have 120 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in December 2019, they were reviewed as 'Outstanding' in all areas. This school has a small onsite car park and is a short walk from public transport links making it very commutable.

The Ideal candidate:

  • QTS
  • Experience teaching students with SEN.
  • Available full time/ part time in September
  • Hard working, conscientious and passionate in teaching students with additional needs.
  • Resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
