Teaching Personnel are working with a number of SEN Schools and Alternative Behaviour Provisions that are looking for Qualified Teachers to work with them for the rest of the academic year.

The needs of the pupils within the provisions vary from complex needs to challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.

The role of SEN Teacher:

  • Responsible for a class of 4-6 pupils
  • Working with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
  • Responsible for key support staff in the classroom
  • Managing pupil behaviour through de-escalation techniques

The schools support the growth and development of pupils aged 5-16 and are responsible for devising personalised curriculum for the achievement of each child. In addition to this, the schools have a multi-professional approach to their pupils by providing speech, language and physiotherapists combined with creative approaches from musicians and sports coaches to support their young people to achieve both academically socially and morally. Your role as a SEN Teacher would be to create lessons to meet the learners needs. This would include a curriculum based around academic and social progression. You would create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school with a key focus on independent living skills.

All applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one, Teaching Personnel will help and guide you through the application process

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
