SEN Teacher

Teaching Personnel has been approached by a school who is requiring a Teacher for an alternative provision in West Cornwall. The school caters for a variety of age groups and teaches KS1-KS4. The school works with children who display challenging behaviour and typically struggle to engage with their education. Children at this school may also have SEND such as ASC which may affect their behavioural, social and emotional needs. 

A candidate must be energetic, resilient and innovative in order to entice students to want to learn. A teacher at this school must be able to think on their feet and keep learning fun and exciting for the students. The ideal candidate must have high expectations of all pupils and have the ability to maintain good classroom etiquette.

In light of recent announcements the Teacher must be proficient in online learning and find innovative ways to engage students in the classroom and at home.

Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour is preferred, but not essential. Preferably the candidate will be ‘team teach trained’ or willing to participate in this course.

The rate of pay is negotiable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
