Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Post 16 SEN Teacher to work in an OFSTED rated ‘Good’. The school caters for young people aged 11-18 and boasts of an incredible environment where the positivity and enthusiasms of both the pupils and teachers is highlighted by external organisations. This is achieved through a broad curriculum that not only focuses on the academic achievement of the pupils but also of their social and emotional skills.

The school is looking for a SEN Teacher who has the skills to support the pupils who have entered this sixth form due to the fantastic guidance and support they have received from the school.

Your role as a SEN Teacher would be to create lesson to meet the learners needs. This would include a curriculum based around academic and social progression. You would create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school with a key focus on independent living skills.

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.

The school is located in Trafford and has incredible links to public transport including bus, tram and train.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
