Location: Hook, Hampshire

 Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (depending on experience)

 Hours: Full-time, 52 weeks per year, 8:30am – 4:30pm (including 1 in 7 Saturdays)

 Contract: Permanent

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Hook that supports children and young people with autism and a range of learning difficulties. The school provides a nurturing, structured and supportive environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their passionate team. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of each pupil, working closely with a team of support staff and therapists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative and individualised learning programmes
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic development
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support each child’s progress
  • Track and assess pupil outcomes, adapting teaching methods as needed
  • Participate in wider school activities, including 1 in 7 Saturdays as part of the full-year schedule

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or significant experience teaching in SEN settings
  • Experience working with pupils with autism and learning difficulties
  • A patient, adaptable and nurturing teaching style
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
