The school supports young people between the ages of 7-19 with Autism and associated difficulties to gain important life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their journey towards independence.

We are looking to recruit a committed, empathetic and passionate Teacher that will deliver educational sessions and be a model of positive behaviour support to empower our young people to make a positive change in their lives.

Areas of responsibility:

• Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed for each individual student;
• Providing clear structures for learning to maintain pace, motivation and challenge;
• Mark and monitor students' work and set targets for progress.

Applicants must have:

• Experience delivering Functional Skills;
• The ability to teach effectively using a variety of strategies;
• Excellent interpersonal skills with both children and adults;
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum;
• Have high aspirations and expectations for their students;
• A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle as the school is not easily accessed by public transport

Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status qualification
