Teaching Personnel are actively looking to recruit a support assistant to work 1:1 with a child in a year 2 class in Sefton. With this in mind, the school has stressed it is essential you have worked either on a voluntary/temporary or on a permanent basis in a Primary setting before now and have a experience/passion to work on a 1:1 basis with 'challenging' children. It is beneficial to have at least one academic year experience in a school environment.

The role will be to work in line with the school working hours, which are generally around 27-32 per week. The Head teacher has stressed that she would like someone preferably experienced in working with Special Educational Needs and a Level 2 or 3 qualifications is appropriate. With the pupil attending regular appointments there will be an opportunity to work elsewhere within school as a general teaching assistant so it is important that you are up to speed with the Curriculum needs and have a good standard of verbal and written English.

The school is located in Bootle and is easily accessible at the end of the M57 at Junction 7, with secure gated parking for all staff. As well as this it is located near a local Train Station and nearby bus route for all around the city.
