TA required in High Wycombe to support secondary aged students with PMLD

  • Are you an experienced SEN TA?
  • Do you have the skills to support students with complex needs?
  • Would you like to develop yourself professional with in house training and our CPD training?

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an experienced TA to support secondary aged students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties in a special school catering for students aged 3-19 years. All students have severe, profound and complex needs and the school prides itself on providing a high quality education for children and young adults by combining teaching and therapies o ensure maximum development for each student. The school are looking for someone who shares these values and will be committed to promoting success and progression for all.

Your role will be working in a class of 6 students who aged between 13-16 years and all have PMLD and associated sensory and physical disabilities. Your role will be working with the class to assist with the daily running of classroom activities, ensuring all students are participating and engaging to the best of their ability. Some one to one work will be involved with key students and you must be willing to assist with personal care, feeding and moving and handling. Experience or training in these areas, plus administering medication would be recommended. Someone with a calm yet confident personality and a creative edge who can adapt well in all situations would be suitable for this role.
