Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Support Staff to work in schools across the Bolton area, supporting children and young people aged 3–18.

This role involves working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including complex needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and physical or behavioural challenges. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and individual learning plans
  • Support students with complex needs in both academic and social settings
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is highly desirable
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
