SEMH Youth Worker In Schools - Full Time

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Youth Worker to work within schools across Manchester, supporting pupils who may experience challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD, autism, trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation needs, or challenging behaviour.
The Role
As an SEMH Youth Worker, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams.
- Encourage engagement, confidence and participation in learning.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- Background in youth work, mentoring, support work, education or similar settings.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Resilient, patient and passionate about making a difference.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
