Location: Silverstone
Salary: £24,420 - £28,060 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Term time only)
Hours: 8:15-4:45

We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and coordinate provision for individual pupils with SEN or disabilities
- Supervise and support pupils during break and lunch times, encouraging positive social interactions and promoting self-esteem
- Implement strategies to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, developing a deep understanding of their SEN
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, following school policies and staff code of conduct
- Deliver parts of the learning programme to individual pupils as directed by teaching or wellbeing staff

- Inspire confidence and build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality and report concerns through appropriate channels
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working alongside SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
- Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths)
- Willingness to participate in training as needed
- Experience working with children and young people
- Ability to drive and willingness to transport pupils (must have business-use car insurance)
- Commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people
- Strong commitment to safeguarding

- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (can be arranged via Teaching Personnel)
- Two most recent professional references covering the past 24 months
- Overseas Police Check if applicable (for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
