Exciting Opportunity for Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant in Great Harwood

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Great Harwood, Lancashire

Employment Type: Temporary, with potential to become permenant 

Hourly Rate:  £12.50 - £ 15 per hour

About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the educational experience of SEN pupils within a dynamic classroom setting. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on-one support, assisting with classroom activities, and collaborating with the teaching team to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support SEN pupils in their academic and social development.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure a safe learning space.
  • Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding demeanor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
