SEN Support Assistant Required in Astley Bridge

Are you looking for a new opportunity to help an SEN pupil in mainstream Primary School access a full and quality Education?

If so a smaller than average primary school located in the Astley Bridge area of Bolton, is currently looking to appoint an SEN Support assistant to work with an autistic pupil within their year 4 class. The role will vary as you will be supporting the child on a 1:1 basis in the mornings, helping them with subjects such as maths and English. During the afternoon you will then be expected to take on more of a general support role across the full class, supporting other pupils and working in small groups where needed. The school has previously been graded as Good by Ofsted, which describes the school as one where pupils are able to make good progress as a result of interesting learning activities which they enjoy.

Requirements:

  • A passionate, engaging and motivated personality
  • Transferable skills i.e sports, art, and academic
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 5 A-C GCSE grades
  • Experience Supporting across the KS2
  • Ambition for career development
  • High expectations for all students and the determination to help all children succeed
  • The willingness to immerse themselves in all aspects of the school, extra curricular etc
