Are you an enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant offering commitment to high quality learning?
Teaching Personnel is currently working with a school in the Farnborough Area who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support small groups of children who have a range of needs. For this position, you will be required to have experience of working in a school or in a setting with children, and ideally have some SEN experience. The ideal candidate would be mostly working in small class sizes where you will be required to assist the teachers with a wide range of activities including sports and arts to help with the learning of the children.
The school caters for young people who have special educational needs such as Autism, Aspergers, Dyslexia, PMLD, MLD and SLD. The school is rated "Outstanding" in their lastest ofsted. It is a very friendly and supportive environment to work within where the position will be full time and is to last the rest of this academic with scope to continue longer for the right candidate.
The successful SEN teaching assistant must:
* Be pro active and be able to engage students
* Be patient and can be a positive role model for children
* Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties
* Have a DBS or be willing to apply for one
