Our client, an award-winning and rapidly expanding SEN School Group, is seeking a dedicated SEN Science Teacher to join their new state-of-the-art facility in Derby. This school group has been recognized for its innovative approach to education and its commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences for students with SEN. They are looking for a candidate who shares their passion and is ready to contribute to their vibrant learning community.

Role: SEN Teacher, Science Specialism
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime
Salary: MPS/UPS with additional SEN allowance
Start: September 2024

Key Responsibilities:
*
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to students with SEN.
*
Employ innovative teaching methods and educational technology to cater to the varied learning needs of students.
*
Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
*
Collaborate with other staff members to implement an integrated approach to education.
*
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's culture of continuous improvement.
*
Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and to support students' learning at home.

Requirements for the Role:
*A qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong academic background in Science.
*Demonstrated experience in teaching science to students with SEN is highly desirable.
*An understanding of the latest SEN teaching strategies and the ability to apply these in a classroom setting.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
*A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to create a positive, supportive classroom environment.
*Flexibility, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
*A willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and to engage in the wider school community.
