Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to students with SEN.
*Employ innovative teaching methods and educational technology to cater to the varied learning needs of students.
*Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
*Collaborate with other staff members to implement an integrated approach to education.
*Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's culture of continuous improvement.
*Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and to support students' learning at home.
Requirements for the Role:
*A qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong academic background in Science.
*Demonstrated experience in teaching science to students with SEN is highly desirable.
*An understanding of the latest SEN teaching strategies and the ability to apply these in a classroom setting.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
*A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to create a positive, supportive classroom environment.
*Flexibility, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
*A willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and to engage in the wider school community.
