Salary: £95–£120 per day (based on experience, inclusive of holiday pay)

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Brent to recruit compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and looking to make a positive impact in education.
Whether you are a graduate in psychology or education, an experienced support worker, or someone looking to start a career in schools, this role will give you valuable experience and training in the SEN sector.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). You’ll work under the guidance of teachers and support staff to help pupils stay engaged, develop confidence, and progress both socially and academically.
Duties include:
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Helping implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Assisting with classroom tasks and activities
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Helping with transitions and supporting routines throughout the day
What We’re Looking For
• Empathetic and patient with a genuine desire to support SEN pupils
• Previous experience with children or young people is desirable
• Background in education, psychology, youth work, or care is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and a calm, flexible attitude
• Willing to complete full safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
