SEN Primary Teacher

I am currently looking to appoint an experienced Primary teacher to work within a unique special needs setting. The school specialises in the treatment of children who present with severe emotional, psychological and behavioural problems. The school combines individual therapy with a strong group-based culture which helps children engage with their difficulties, and support one another in recovering and achieving their potential.

Whilst this can be an emotional and challenging environment, the school go out of their way to support staff as much as their pupils and offer training programmes to develop teaching skills within this setting.

The school are looking to appoint Primary Teacher's with:

  • A passion for teaching and learning;
  • The ability to work independently and as a key motivator and inspirational leader for the class team;
  • A commitment to multi-agency working
  • Able to demonstrate belief in the school culture and ethos
  • Flexible, creative, enthusiastic and energetic.

Teaching Position Details:

  • Full-Time Role 08:30am - 15:30pm
  • Key Stage 2 (YR5/6)
  • SEN - Social, Emotional Mental Health (Complex Emotional Needs)
  • Daily Rate - Confirmed at point of interview (this will be dependant on experience and details of position accepted)
  • Due to the location of the school, own transport is essential.
  • Whilst having experience within a previous SEN setting is desirable; the school openly welcomes applications from those in a mainstream setting who are looking to make the transition to SEN.

All Candidates Must:

  • Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
  • Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (£44) and then subscribe to the update service (£13)
  • Have no recent criminal convictions/cautions.
  • Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
  • If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.
