Personal Care Assistant – Complex SEN School (Bolton)

Location: Bolton
Hours: Thursday & Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Start Date: January

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join a specialist Secondary SEN school in Bolton. The school supports students with a range of complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience in the care sector who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personal care support to students, including assistance with hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
  2. Support pupils in accessing learning activities and therapies tailored to their individual needs.
  3. Work collaboratively with teachers and healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
  4. Promote independence and dignity while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  5. Assist with physical activities and sensory programs to enhance engagement and development.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child & Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).
  • Previous experience in the care sector or working with individuals with complex needs.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a proactive and patient approach.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
