SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rochdale

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. You will be supporting children with additional needs such as High-level Autism, non-verbal, Profound and multiple learning disabilities, physical disabilities and struggles with their speech and language.
About the Role
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored learning and care plans.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students achieve their goals.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Deliver 1:1 and group interventions to support children in the social and academic development
- Adapt learning materials and approach to suit individual needs
- Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of each student is met.
- Support with personal care when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Safeguarding training (provided by Teaching Personnel)
- At least two employment references from the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
