Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Primary Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs? We are seeking dedicated teachers to work in specialist and inclusive primary schools across Rochdale. You will be making a true and important impact for children with Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, Global Development Delay and physical disabilities. This role requires creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive and you will be using differentiated strategies to meet individual learning goals.
Key Duties
- Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of pupils with complex learning difficulties.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to support communication, sensory needs, and physical development.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and therapists to implement personalised learning plans.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to ensure consistent support.
- Promote emotional regulation and resilience through patience and empathy.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews and progress reports.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
- Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally in primary settings.
- Strong understanding of Autism, PMLD, and other complex needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- UK Right to Work.
- All professional references covering the last 24 months.
- Safeguarding training (provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
