Do you have experience supporting in EYFS and SEN?

Are you seeking new opportunities in a fantastic school?

We are currently in need of Teaching Assistants to join one of the many staff teams for the mainstream Primary schools we are working with in Beaminster. The teaching assistant roles will consist of supporting children with different additional needs 1:1 in the Early Years or SEN sections of the schools.

Teaching assistant specification

  • Experience in a primary school or Early Years setting
  • Safeguarding knowledge
  • A graduate aspiring for a career in Education
  • Experience with SEN children
  • Patient, confident and friendly
  • PECS/Makaton/Phonics are a plus

Job information - Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time, September start
  • 2 CPD courses offered on placement

SEN is an area of education with nuances and variety, especially since children with the same condition are able to be complete opposites! So whether you are interested in ASD, BESD, SEMH or other additional needs, we have a number of SEN teaching assistant roles open to you.

Each school works to achieve its own set of aims and teach key values to the children. Although there may be different goals, each prioritises the children and fosters a supportive environment for staff as well, leading to a high retention of staff.
