SEN Maths Teacher

Have you previously taught in a specialist SEN or SEMH provision? Do you possess a strong passion to teach pupils with SEN or SEMH? If so, we would be delighted to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a passionate teacher of maths (NQT, FQT or OTT) for a Special Educational Needs’ school near Thetford.

The Role

  • Encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement; you will be teaching Maths at GCSE level to pupils with complex needs.
  • A rewarding but demanding position, where no two days will be the same.
  • Communicate well with pupils and keep them engaged in lessons
  • Planning lessons and preparing resources
  • Creating tests and mock exams as well as marking them
  • Marking workbooks
  • Tracking pupil progress

The School

This SEMH provision supports up to 70 pupils with their learning and development. The school is spacious and modern, to ensure that pupils are able to find their way around comfortably and with ease. Some of the facilities at the school include:

  • A Sensory Room
  • A Drama Studio
  • Astro Turf and Basketball Court

This reputable school has developed excellent relationships with the local community as well as further afield. This has increased the schools ability to run regular trips out, with previous visits to local trampoline parks, local farms and museums as well as The Supreme Court in London!

We want to hear from you, if you:

  • Have QTS
  • Have excellent knowledge of GCSE Maths
  • Have personal or professional experience with SEMH/SEN or have a strong desire to work within SEMH/SEN
