Job description

Job Title: SEN Maths Teacher (QTS Not Required)
Location:  Academy of Bedfordshire
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time 
Salary: Dependent on experience

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Maths lessons to small groups of students with a range of SEN.
  • Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development.

About You:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths up to GCSE level (essential).
  • Patient, creative, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
  • QTS is not required – we welcome applicants from alternative education, tutoring, youth work, or related fields.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
