SEN LSA urgently needed

School in Maidenhead requires a teaching assistant immediately to work with a year 6 pupils with Autism and SEMH needs. This is a full time position (Monday-Friday 8.30-15.30).

The school caters for children, from 4 to 13 years of age, with high functioning and non verbal Autism.

You

• Experience in Autism or Complex Needs would be very desirable.
• Prior involvement with 4 - 11 years olds
• Understanding of special educational needs is ideal - namely Autism and SEMH
• Desire and passion for working with children and enjoys being part of their development
• Willing to learn, adjustable and able to take on new tasks
• react quickly to instructions
• Team Teach Training is ideal (not desirable as long as you are a strong personality)

The Role

You will be working alongside another highly experienced Teaching Assistant supporting this pupil 2:1. Your aim will to try and engage this pupil in education and help to increase their academic attainment.
