SEN - Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a learning support assistant to work on a one to one basis within one of our fantastic SEN Schools. Teaching Personnel's SEN Specialist's branch are working within a number of SEN schools and Pupil Referral Units that caters specifically for students between 5-17 who have been diagnosed with a range of Special education needs including Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and Social, Emotional, Mental Health, of which may cause different challenging behaviours.

Pay starting at £60 per day!
Be able to start as soon as possible!
Able to Reach Yate!

This role will be working with young students who have profound multiple learning difficulties and you will be responsible for working with them on a one to one basis. Each Class in this school has around 6 to 8 pupils in each class. The class has a class teacher and at least 3 other teaching assistant staff members. This school is an SEN specialist school which caters for Primary aged students. These students will need you to be passionate and take a personal interest in their learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A Child workforce DBS, on the update service - we can support you through the process of applying for one if you do not already have one.
  • Confidence in working with students who have PMLD and working with Primary aged students
  • A calm, kind and caring manor about you
  • Ideally, a clean UK driving License with a access to a vehicle 5 days a week
  • Taking a personal interest in the learning of the pupil you'll be mentoring
