Full-Time SEN Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 Support & Personal Care – Preston

Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Are you a compassionate and reliable individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
We are seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming SEN school in Preston this September on a full-time basis. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and personal care needs.

About the role:

• Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day

• Assisting with classroom tasks and tailored learning activities

• Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect

• Promoting independence, communication, and emotional well-being

• Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (particularly MLD or similar)

• Confident with providing personal care where required

• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour and emotional needs

• Flexible, enthusiastic, and a great team player

• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or child support are advantageous

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
