Full-Time SEN Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 Support & Personal Care – Preston
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Are you a compassionate and reliable individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
We are seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming SEN school in Preston this September on a full-time basis. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and personal care needs.
About the role:

Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day

Assisting with classroom tasks and tailored learning activities
-
Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect
-
Promoting independence, communication, and emotional well-being
-
Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
The ideal candidate:
-
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (particularly MLD or similar)

Confident with providing personal care where required
-
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour and emotional needs
-
Flexible, enthusiastic, and a great team player
-
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or child support are advantageous

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
