Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Sunderland Local Authority to provide targeted intervention and catch up to pupils who have fallen behind due to COVID. Primarily the focus will be within English and Maths, however some time in sessions may be dedicated to other areas where pupils have fallen behind.
You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEN and LAC needs who require additional support. Whilst some pupils are on roll within a Pupil Referal Unit or Specialist School, some are accessing mainstream eduaction. It is key for the successful candidate to beconfident responding to challenging behaviour, have good behaviour management and an ability to build relationships with pupilsl. We are searching for someone with a patient nature and passion for working with young at risk pupils. Whilst some resources will be provided for you, you must be willing to put together programmes and effectively plan sessions. You could be working with between 3-4 students throughout the week predominantly through school hours, however some may be evening sessions.
This role will commence as soon as possible pending the referals and will be held on this basis until Christmas. Pay levels will be decided on depending on qualifcations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
