Teaching Personnel are working with a number of SEN schools in Hertfordshire that have contacted us as they are looking to meet Teaching Assistants with special educational needs experience for day to day and long term contracts through to December 2016, with the potential for temp to perm appointment’s to be arranged for the right candidates by January 2017.
The role(s) involve supporting a Class teacher in varied class sizes from Key Stages 1through to 4. All the children have special educational needs, (ASC, MLD, SLD, SEMH, PMLD etc). Areas of needs are manifested in areas related to speech, language and communication difficulties and difficulties in relating to the outside world, managing their behaviour, as well as medical needs. Furthermore they may also need personal care assistance with tasks such as feeding, using the toilet and general classroom support.
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a large number of Teaching Assistants, as there is an increased demand for support in Hertfordshire.
The ideal candidate will:
-Be available between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm
-Have prior experience working in a school environment
-Experience of working with children with special needs (SEN)
-A good work ethic, calm presence in the classroom, patience and a willingness to learn
Important Notice
It is essential that you are currently residing in the UK with right to work. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working in SEN schools or Pupil Referral Units.
In accordance with our vetting process, it is essential that we are able to obtain a reference from schools that you have most recently worked with.
Due to the nature this position it is essential all applicants hold or are willing to apply for an enhanced child workforce DBS certificate on the update service.
