SEN Support staff needed to work with statemented pupils

  • Permanent contract after 4 months
  • £60 -£70 per day depending on experience
  • Demand for Global Delay, Down Syndrome, Autism experience

This is a permanent position for the right candidate.

Person Specification

The chosen candidate will be a highly organised and passionate TA with the eagerness and willingness to support all children with SEN needs. More integral to this role is your long term vision, professionalism, patience, and ability to identify SEN needs and adapt suitable resources to aid the learning and development.

The Role

Your role will include identifying children’s needs, observation and collating information following up with report writing.

You will also be responsible for notifying parents of pupil progress. And discussing their worry’s and concerns with them.

The schools value a passionate and committed approach and so you will be expected to work closely with pupils to nurture their talents, academic skills, and social confidence.

You may be expected to attend meetings with EXTERNAL TRAINERS who provide specialist seminars on SEN.

The School

The school is a polite, respectful catholic school with a supportive and dedicated team of teaching staff. It is a 2 form entry school with 420 pupils, and an onsite nursery providing am/pm sessions for pupils aged 3-4 years. They also run a children’s centre, breakfast and after school club.

There are near by transport links to the school including a bus stop within a 3 minute walk and tube station within a 5 minute walk.

The position is for an immediate start (can be flexible, depending on notice period). We are interviewing now for positions that start in September.
