Early Years Lead

Salary Details: MPS + SEN + Fixed term TLR

Job/Person Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a close knit team in an ‘Outstanding’ local school. The school are growing to provide placements for a larger number of children and have brand new refurbished spaces to enable this. This includes opening a new classroom within the school and now looking for a dynamic, ambitious and effective class teacher who can lead on the development of the lower school provision.

You will have

  • Extensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and the SEND Code of Practice;
  • Significant experience of using the framework in and across specialist SEND settings;
  • Commitment to ensuring that all pupils reach their potential through a thoroughly personalised approach to teaching and learning;
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enables you to get the very best out of the range of professionals you will work with;
  • Significant credibility and confidence in leading teams and are able to design and provide high quality CPD across the department;
  • An aspiration for developing your leadership skills to a senior level within 2- 3 years’ time.

You will be

  • A highly effective classroom practitioner who is ambitious about outcomes for pupils with SEND and their families;
  • Solution focused and able to identify creative ways to solve challenges and influence others positively to embrace alternative solutions:
  • Passionate about SEND and effective curriculum design;
  • Research informed regarding teaching and learning practice, priding yourself in being up to date with relevant research across the sector;
  • Consistent, reliable and approachable with a strong history of supporting teams effectively;
  • Aspiring to a senior leadership position in 2-3 years.
