Primary Teacher – Chesterfield & Surrounding Areas

Location: Chesterfield and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting passionate and enthusiastic Primary Teachers to work across a range of welcoming schools in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.

We have opportunities available for teachers looking for day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term positions, with the potential for permanent roles. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to gain further classroom experience, we can help you find a role that suits your skills, experience and availability.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and achievement.
  • Support the wider life of the school and contribute to a positive school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for teachers who are:

  • Qualified Primary Teachers with QTS or equivalent.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality education.
  • Confident managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
  • Able to deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Adaptable and able to quickly build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Reliable, professional and committed to their role.
  • Experienced in, or keen to work within, a range of primary school settings.

ECTs are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
