SEN Assistant roles

Job description

A special educational needs (SEN) school requires a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) full time for an immediate start. Experience in SEN is a bonus but is not essential as this school offers support and training.

The candidate that we are looking for will have:

  • An understanding of special educational needs such as complex learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, autism and global developmental delay is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience working in a school environment or within a role for helping those with both learning and physical difficulties.
  • Have excellent communication and listening skills.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
