SEN 2:1 Support Assistant

Are you a dedicated and hardworking individual seeking opportunities to support and enhance the learning experience of children with special educational needs? Are you flexible in approach and have experience working with children in a Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) environment?  Our client, a beautiful school in the Northfield area, are looking for dedicated teaching assistant to join the team.

In this crucial role you will be working with children on a personal individualised basis to help aid the children in their educational journeys. Your primary role will be to provide tailored support to these children, ensuring their learning is supported according to their needs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

-          Extensive SEN experience, particularly working with [Early Years Foundation Stage] EYFS  and key stage 1

-          Excellent interpersonal skills such as resilience, patience and commitment

-          Level 3 in EYFS or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

-          Willingness to perform personal care

-          Experience supporting 1:1 within SEN primary sectors

What we will need

-          DBS on the Update service or a willingness to obtain

-          24 months worth of references

-          Completed CPD Level 2 Safeguarding Training/have one valid within the previous year

-          Any overseas educators would need to be able to provide overseas

 documentation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
