1:1 Support Staff – Primary Schools | The Black Country | Supply Work

Location: Primary Schools in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton
Job Type: Flexible Supply Work (Day-to-day, Short-term, and Long-term roles)
Pay: Competitive daily rates (PAYE)


About the Role:

We are a trusted supply agency working with a network of warm and welcoming primary schools throughout the Black Country. We’re currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic 1:1 support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), helping them access learning and reach their full potential.

As a 1:1 support assistant, your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing in-class support to pupils with EHCPs or additional needs

  • Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Delivering targeted interventions and activities

  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment


About You:

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Patient, reliable, and caring

  • Experienced in supporting children in primary school settings

  • Confident working 1:1 with children with a range of needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH)

  • Flexible and willing to adapt to different school settings

  • Able to follow safeguarding policies and uphold professional standards

Qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, or experience in a similar role, are highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
