SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

A supportive mainstream primary school in Bedford is seeking an SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is based within the school’s SEN provision, offering a structured and well-supported environment where you can provide focused, individualised support to a pupil.

The school is part of a well-established multi-academy trust, providing strong SEN support systems, shared expertise, and opportunities for ongoing development.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil within the SEN provision
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning space

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND
  • Patient, calm, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
