Academic Year Role (September 2026 – July 2027)
£95 to £105 per day PAYE

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bedford is seeking an Access to Learning Teaching Assistant to join their team for the full academic year. This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils who require additional help accessing learning, both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.

The school is part of a respected multi-academy trust, providing strong support networks, excellent professional development opportunities, and a collaborative approach to pupil success.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support pupils who require additional help accessing the curriculum
• Deliver targeted interventions and learning support sessions
• Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups of pupils
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and engagement in learning
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support pupil progress
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Essential Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
• Understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to overcome them
• Patient, resilient, and supportive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
