Job Title: SEN 1:1 Support Staff

Job Duties:

The SEN 1:1 Support Staff will provide individualised support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. Duties include assisting students with their academic work, implementing behaviour management strategies, and supporting the overall well-being and development of the students.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs

- Experience working with individuals with SEN

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Prior experience working with individuals with SEN is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of SEN best practises and strategies

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional certifications in special education

- Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with students with special educational needs. The work is temporary and requires full-time availability during school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
