Job description

1:1 SEMH Tutor – September Start | Make a Lasting Difference

Are you passionate about helping pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs re-engage with learning? TP Tutors is looking for empathetic, resilient tutors to deliver 1:1 support across Key Stages 1 to 4 from September onwards.

About the Role:

  • Deliver tailored English or Maths sessions using a trauma-informed, relational approach

  • Work in flexible settings (home, libraries, community centres)

  • Help pupils build confidence, routine, and motivation

  • Use proven behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

We're Looking For:

  • Experience in SEMH settings, PRUs, or alternative provisions

  • Strong behaviour and classroom management

  • An understanding, non-judgmental approach with a focus on relationship-building

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we’ll support you)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
