1:1 SEMH & Wellbeing Support Tutor – September Start

Do you have experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you passionate about helping them re-engage through compassionate, trauma-informed support?
TP Tutors is looking for dedicated tutors to provide 1:1 wellbeing-focused academic support across KS1–KS4. Many learners are out of school or in alternative provision and need a calm, consistent adult to help them rebuild confidence and routine.
Your Role:

Deliver 1:1 Maths or English with a focus on emotional safety and trust

Support learners in safe, local spaces (e.g., homes, libraries)

Use positive relationships, behaviour strategies, and small wins to build momentum

Promote mental wellbeing and self-belief through every session
We’re Looking For:
-
SEMH, PRU, youth work, or alternative provision experience
-
Calm, empathetic approach and strong behaviour support skills
-
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
